China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) representatives working meeting press release
August 12, 2016 there was a working meeting of the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee and the National Centre of Accreditation (hereinafter - NCA) representatives with a delegation consisting of composed of Certification and Accreditation Administration P.R. China and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) representatives (hereinafter the Delegation). The Delegation arrived to the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to improve and enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of accreditation between China and the RK. The head of the Delegation was Ms. Dong Lequn Deputy - Chief Administrator of Certification and Accreditation Administration P.R.China (CNCA).
Also the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Committee on Consumer Protection of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan representatives were invited to the meeting.
The meeting began with the presentation of the activities in the field of accreditation of China and the RK.
During the meeting the Parties discussed issues of signing the Agreement on cooperation between NCA and CNAS for conformity assessment, holding bilateral trainings and internships in the field of accreditation, the possibility of cooperation on experience exchange in the field of proficiency testing, conformity assessment and other areas of mutual interest, and mutual maintenance normative documents and legal acts, internal procedures, policies and other necessary materials as part of a mutual learning experience in new areas of accreditation.
As a result of the working meeting the following agreements was reached:
1) To provide the training course on the topic “Accreditation of organic products certification” by CNAS experts for NCA’s assessors in Astana, and organizing internship for one NCA assessor in CNAS on accreditation organic products certification bodies and internship for one NCA assessor on ISO/IEC 17020 (pre-shipment inspection on transport including air transport, shipping, railways, car) in 2016-2017.
2) To sign an Agreement on cooperation between CHAS and NCA for conformity assessment in November 2016 at the General Assembly ILAC-IAF in New Delhi, India, or during high-level bilateral visits.
3) The Chinese Part will provide technical standards for exported products from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
